POSITION SUMMARY:                           

Transport crew members from various vessels from PortMiami to Downtown and other destinations as assigned. Transport employees and vendors to respective work area and guests from the Port of Miami terminal to other destinations as assigned. Deliver Vessel/Cargo manifest to the U.S. Customs office, Vessel Report to the Port of Miami office and distributes interoffice mail to administrative staff. This position also assists with maintenance projects / housekeeping for the facility. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. May receive directives from the Human Resources Supervisor and Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. Does not exercise supervision over any position.




  • A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience driving passengers.
  • Familiarity with local areas in Miami-Dade County and Broward County.
  • Clean Driver’s License.
  • Experience and ability to use common hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers.
  • Must be able to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate (read, write and speak fluently) in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to obtain internal forklift certification within 90 days of employment.



  • Ability to think logically and follow procedures and instructions. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to meet and deal effectively with the vendors, contractors and the general public.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, multitask and possess strong initiative.
  • Ability to work extended hours, holidays and/or weekends, as needed.


  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.



  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Ability to climb, reach and/or bend regularly and twist (ie: when driving in reverse)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.






  • Transport crew members from the company vessels at PortMiami to facilities within Miami-Dade and Broward counties to include the airport, medical centers, hotels, etc.
  • Transport guests from the Seaboard Terminal at PortMiami to facilities within Miami-Dade and Broward counties to include the airport, medical centers, hotels, etc.
  • Transport employees to and from the employee parking area or employee terminal entrance to work posts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Transport vendors to assigned work/project locations.
  • Create and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to assigned tasks.
  • Deliver Vessel/Cargo manifest to the U.S. Customs office in a timely manner.
  • Deliver Vessel Report to the Port of Miami Administrative office in a timely manner.



  • Collect and deliver company documents within the Seaboard Terminal at the Port of Miami.
  • Distribute office mail and ships mail accordingly.
  • Delivers transfile boxes and all heavy or large office supplies to departments as requested.
  • Must maintain shuttle van clean and in good working condition.
  • Provides safe and courteous service to all shuttle passengers
  • Pick up / deliver food orders for events and other items as needed.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to coordinate and carry out special projects
  • Assist with company events after hours and on weekends as needed. 
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of all surroundings (i.e., trucks, people, etc.) at all times.






  • Assists with maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of terminal buildings, structures and exterior areas.  
  • Assists with the installation and performance of maintenance projects under the direction of the Multi-Craft Technician: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, painting, and/or associated work on building and/or terminal facilities using basic hand and power tools.
  • Responsible for cleaning all CCTV cameras in the terminal on a regular basis.
  • Assist contractors who are working on projects affecting the facilities.


  • Drive the 52k forklift and manlift as needed to facilitate terminal maintenance projects 



  • Move office furniture within departments as needed.  


  • Performs additional duties as assigned.





  • Subject to physical and/or DOT Screening is required along with other tests as applicable
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use their hands. 
  • The employee is continuously required to stand, walk, grasp, talk and hear.
  • The employee is continuously required to sit
  • The employee must frequently lift, move, carry, push and pull up to 10lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75lbs.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, exercise repetitive wrist and foot motion, and exercise finger        dexterity
  • The employee is frequently required to exercise eye-hand-foot coordination and frequently eye-hand coordination.
  • The employee is occasionally required to balance; stoop, crouch, crawl, smell, climb, pinch, reach overhead, twist, squat and kneel.
